Because Australian Labradoodles are very low-shedding, their coats require regular brushing to prevent matting. Slicker brushes work well, and when used frequently can help maintain a beautiful coat.

Their puppy coat is less maintenance and will not need to be groomed until they are around four months of age or so! They begin to lose their puppy coat around eight or nine months of age, so this is a good time to start regular combing to pull the puppy coat out to prevent matting. Since they don't typically shed, their puppy coat will just weave into their new adult coat.
